Well its a good one even if it is not worth celebrating in this 21st century. Flyover is not what a state like IMO should be celebrating at this time. I weep for Nigeria.

This is not how to showcase the work.
A full view should be made available showcasing the architechtureand how the flyover eases traffic congestion.
From the little i have seen,,i make bold to say this is one shoddy job!

so this fool is boasting of building a fly over after 5yrs in office.
looking at the state of the road underneath the so called fly over, I think the money would have been better used to build high quality road there instead. and from this photo it doesnt seem there is excess traffick on the road, again questioning the need for a flyover vs improving the quality of that road.

Imo state: Smart people, Stupid voters.

I don't see any vehicle on top.

I hope it is structurally safe.

It's construction wasn't inspiring, I hope there is an alternative route.

There is an existing flyover in FUTO, so this can't be the first.

God forbid. This is way below every safety standard... And just like the rivers monorail, it wasn't constructed at a place where it would be meaningful to transporters.

He should have done this around Douglas or even control.
At least he finished what others before him couldn't do. Give honour to whom honour is due. Welldone Rochas.

Considering the fact it leads directly to Rochas' private residence cum villa Spelbat estate, it should at least be of quality standard compared to other substandard projects he has engaged in

Yeah the Orlu road flyover is still under construction. The completed one is located at Okigwe road. The two flyovers are part of a long stretch dual carriage way connecting inner Owerri (Aladinma, Egbu road and Ugwu-Orji) with Onitsha expressway section of Egbeada (new Owerri).
I think the project was initiated by Ohakim and completed by Rochas. However, my only fear is that the flyover is of substandard quality. You don't give local engineers such kind of gigantic project to construct.

i think those aren't cement blocks,it's just the design..
even if they are, that section of the flyover is just the exterior and is non weight bearing hence is permissible.

you guys ranting here had better ask an architect or civil engineer..there are good engineers in naija.
