Governor Ayo Fayose rubbished the proposal and told his fellow governors who are owing workers salaries to resign from office. He scored a very big political point with that statement and even the NGF backpedaled and abandoned the proposal.

Today, the Ekiti state civil servants are on strike as a result of the failure of Fayose to pay state workers for five straight months.
So, when will Fayose resign from office?

He never said "Governors unable to pay salary should resign"!

Fayose made that statement to score a very cheap political point. Now, he's in the same crisis with the governors that he tried to pull down and to make matters worse, he can't even practice what he preached and you are here defending him. We should hold our political leaders by their words and not defend them when they are wrong. Fayose should resign for his inability to pay Ekiti workers for five straight months despite collecting over N6billion federal allocation in the same period.

Any elected official that cannot pay the salary of its workers is not fit to be addressed with the official position he/she is occupying because it is morally wrong to deny the workers their pay at the end of the month & state governor should look at other areas to generate money for their state rather than depending on Abuja at the end of every month.

Resign ke that is the last thing Ekiti people generally will ask for.

Fayose is the least of Nigeria's problem for now so haters should shut up. If Fayemi's had not messed up Ekiti through incurring of unnecessary debts,Ekiti would not be in this mess
