The Difference Between Marriage And Wedding by LordOfNaira: 7:36am On May 30, 2016
I can bet my life on it that many people jump into marriages without knowing the difference between marriage and wedding. Not knowing the difference between these two words may be one strong reason why a lot of marriages are crashing quickly today.

The Difference:

Wedding:

Wedding is a ceremony where a man and a woman are declared husband and wife before a witnessing crowd (Lordofnairaland—2016) .

A lot of people prepare for this. They hold expensive weddings in expensive places, Dubai now becoming a constant choice. People, especially, women, are always quick and excited to remind you the date of their wedding. Everyone is generally excited and that day is always regarded as a very important day in the lives of the couple and their families. That is what a wedding is. There is the traditional, church and court wedding. It is the ceremony.

Marriage:

This is the married life ushered in by the wedding ceremony (Lordofnairaland—2016)

Now, this is what a lot of people fail to prepare for. They are so into the wedding ceremonies that they forget that it is not by how large or expensive or well planned your weddings are. Marriage is the real thing not just the official declaration of two people as husband and wife. It is marriage you should truly plan for not weddings. It would be a big shame if after a large and well publicized wedding, your marriage doesn't last one year.
