Wat about this;

Three closed boxes have either white marbles, black
marbles or both, and they are labeled white, black and
both. However, all three boxes are mislabeled. You may
reach into one of the boxes and pull out only one marble.

Which box should you remove a marble from to determine
the contents of all three boxes?

Cc: 3rdlegxxx, naturalwaves, amicable24..... U guys r wlcm

On the condition that they are ALL mislabeled. Take a marble out of the box that says "both". If it's white, it must be all white marbles; if it's black then it must be all black marbles. Take the black/white label off one of the two remaining boxes and switch for the one that says "both". Now switch the labels of the two remaining boxes and that should be it.

Answer: A, Yes.

Reason: James is married and is looking at Anne. There two possibilities; either Anne is married or not. If she is married. Then Anne (married) who is looking at George (unmarried) would mean that a married person is looking an unmarried person.

If Anne is unmarried then James a married man is looking at an unmarried woman. In both cases a married person is looking at an unmarried person.

Best answer. But jack not james

5: Place three piles of matches on a
table, one with 11 matches, the
second with 7, and the third with 6.
You are to move matches so that
each pile holds 8 matches. You may
add to any pile only as many
matches as it already contains. All
the matches must come from one
other pile. For example, if a pile holds
6 matches, you may add 6 to it, no
more or less.

You have three moves.

1.Take 7 from the pile of 11, 4 left (Call that Pile A) and add Pile B already containing 7, making pile B 14.
2.Take 6 from pile B and add pile C, (with 6 already) making it 12. Pile B is left with 8, (14-6=8 ).
3.Take 4 from Pile C and add to À making both C and B 8 each( 12-4 and 4+4 = 8 )

There is a table on which 20 coins are placed. You also
know that there are 10 coins with heads up, and 10 coins
with tails up. You are blind folded and there is no way to
determine which side is up by rubbing, etc.
Your task is to create two groups of coins, each having
the same number of heads and tails
. You may only move
or flip coins. How can you accomplish this while being
blindfolded?

Each having the same number of heads and tails? Or each having the same number of coins with heads up? Cause according to that question you can shove any ten either way.

Since there is no way to determine the side that is up or down, it means dat the head and tail ar identical so just divide the coins in two groups of ten each. flipping has no effect on the outcome

OK, Let me post one extra she provides her own answers..

Five pirates have obtained 100 gold coins and have to divide up the loot. The pirates are all extremely intelligent, treacherous and selfish (especially the captain).

The captain always proposes a distribution of the loot. All pirates vote on the proposal, and if half the crew or more go "Aye", the loot is divided as proposed, as no pirate would be willing to take on the captain without superior force on their side.

If the captain fails to obtain support of at least half his crew (which includes himself), he faces a mutiny, and all pirates will turn against him and make him walk the plank. The pirates start over again with the next senior pirate as captain.

What is the maximum number of coins the captain can keep without risking his life?

naturalwaves, amicable24, EOOJ, CProf, Naikkie, RaptorX, Phlegmwash, ....

3 pirates need to vote in favor to avoid mutiny. To keep the other two pirates happy and ensure they vote in favor they should get as much as the captain. So he splits the booty 3 ways, gives 33 pieces to two pirates and keeps 34. T

Go to the box labeled 'both', whatever colour you get is the correct label, then just exchange the other two.

Since they are all mislabeled, then you remove the one labeled both.

If the color in it is black for-instance, you then take the black label and stick to it. Then re-label the others.

Again I didn't look.
