I don't like the fact that this program is only 2 years. So what happens later after graduates complete the program?

pick a skill and get trained? Lolz, with which money? Or, are you going to be trained for free?

Can we appreciate a gesture at least for once? This will cushion the effect of joblessness in Nigeria and at the same time, the scheme does not stop a reasonable graduate from doing other things "only" if the person can manage his/her time well.

Surprisingly, most of those that will criticize this will still be the first set to apply. If you know what you are doing, don't listen to the critics, apply, who knows you may be on of the lucky 500,000.

Nice initiative from the Federal Government but I will personally enrol for scheme acquisition to get trained in the field on my choice than participating in the so called N- power series

n-power to replace NYSC. its a good move.

It's not replacing nysc. It's another programme just like nysc where skills acquisition ll take place in various departments for the duration of two years with a salary of 23k.

What if one gets a better job offer during the course of the program, what will that person do? Can he/she abandon the program at will?

Off course you will move if you have better offer. I think one of the aim of the scheme is to keep one engaged with skills while searching for job.

It opens at 11.30 pm, Nigerian time..

Successful Applicants are expected to resume training by August 1...

Training will cover, Agricultural techniques, Software development and hardware repair to empower youths..

These lessons will empower them on important skills that makes them more employable or to start projects on their own.
