To avoid trouble, the shopkeeper had to give John another ₦1000 and destroyed the counterfeit which had no real value.

The shop keeper lost 2000 because she gave the lady 800 of her change + the 200 item de gal bought. i.e 800+200=1000
Then + de 1000 naira she replace for john =2000
