Is Power Supply Improving In Your Neighbourhood? by Nobody: 11:43pm On Aug 28, 2009
Guys, please can you relate your current experience of the power situation in Nigeria vis-a-vis three or four months ago? I'm keeping a watch on the 6,000 mw before December promise made by the president. Being UK based, I've received messages from folks back home to the effect that PS is actually starting to improve - but I need more testimonies.

Thanks in advance!!  grin grin

Bialegend, I take it you're an easterner.  Well, much of the information I received regarding improved PS came from contacts in Enugu.  Have you any links to that city that could assist in  corroborating the claims?  cool

Power supply in my area were I lived in Bed-stuy, Brooklyn, NY is 24/7 and years after years all rounds. What do you say about that. You have 4 hours of light and you are happy. Shame on you and Nigeria. What country in the world is suppling 4 or 10 hours of light aday and then no light until the next week.

Down here in abgado lagos. Adura community.
The light hasnt winked for 1 year plus.
Though we contributed about 2 million plus to the chairman, our money has long be Abrakadabra'ed.
Running the office on generator set 12 hours daily. Sometimes, I dont even know how I make it and havent gone crazy.

Lagos seems to be doing better in the last
three weeks. But as always, increase in power supply
gets too much for the tranformers to handle so they start
blowing up taking us back to darkness.

It's Nigeria. Who gives a shit. When they do something important that the world will actually recognize, then they can bitch. Until then they should shut up.

And the 360 is for Nigeria. Nothing but poor people there anyways.

I wish I could piss off the nigerian government so I could tell them to go to hell. I mean, it's not like they can do anything. They're nigeria after all.
Re: Is Power Supply Improving In Your Neighbourhood? by GeorgeD1(m): 1:20pm On Sep 09, 2009

The people who experienced improvement, be it 4hrs or 2hrs have forgotten something. IT IS THE RAINY SEASON. Power supply always improves during this time of the year because of the KAINJI DAM.
