What is the average number of plants/trees per acre?
Can one intercrop with plantain to shade it?

if you are planting 3m by 3m on one acre it will contain 449 plantian sucker and cocoa seedlings but if you are planting 2.5m by 2.5m spacing an acre will contain 647 plantian sucker and cocoa seedlings.

yes you can intercrop it because cocoa needs shad for its survival

For those with cocoa farm make sure u take care of de surrounding I mean the boundary of ur farm because of bush burning and if you r chance buy rain guns for irrigation it will help ur farm trees n prevent fire from entering ur farm went de dry leaves of cocoa is moisting.
