I may be wrong but i thought Nuns are humans, even if they have set their lives apart to live in a particular manner and fashion. If this were to be true, how could anyone then say that dressing like them is 'blasphemy'.

Blasphemy has been used to define making comments that deride God, more like at least saying things that tend to bring a higher being into disrepute. Are nuns higher beings? Who determined that they alone have a right to wear that uniform?

Trying to draw examples of another faith going haywire if this were to happen does not fit in, except she is of the muslim faith and mimicking christianity.

If she is 'christian', then wearing what she has, or the type Cherubu ati Seraphi people wear would not and should not cause any disaffection. You all claim to be Christians innit? And when asked why there are so many splinters of Christianity, you come up with a ready answer that there are several roads leading to the market.

Infact this reminds of the Ekpe tradition in my place. Everything about it is top secret to the uninitiated, so much so that no sane person would buy or wear anything close to the material with which the regalia of the Ekpe is known for. Specifically there is this cloth and it is known as 'Ukara' with several symbols known as 'Nsibidi' written on it. Only the initiated ones also use it (i was initiated when i was still a kid). I never believed my eyes when i saw Patrick Doyle using the same material to sew 'up and down' and was attending a celebration of my people.

Although I recall someone saying he will be initiated after those celebrations.

My point? If you see a material in the market and you purchase it and you think sewing a particular fashion will be nice on you, which heavenly body has ever said that the material is sacrosanct and can only be used by a set of people?
