Even me that my PC supports all those AVDs, i use the following:
- My phone (yes of course)
- Bluestacks player (http://www.bluestacks.com/)
- Genymotion (https://www.genymotion.com/)
- Andy (http://andyroid.net/)
- Xamarim player (https://developer.xamarin.com/releases/android/android-player/)

In that order, each of those stuffs have their pros and cons (advantages and disadvantages). Aint got time to explain all that. . . . .lots of android codes to write here, catch ya later.

@OP, i will suggest you try out my list and see which one you are most comfortable with. For me, I prefer Bluestacks and my phone.
But beware, I have killed 2 of my android phones by using them to test - however, it is best you have a special phone for this.
And always be ready to flash the phone using the command "adb reboot recovery"

Thanks Devs for dropping by, but from what I can see from the system requirements of Genymotion, it actually requires my PC's CPU to be VT-X or AMD-V compliant, which unfortunately my PC is not, and that's where am really having issues, does this really count? Although, I have installed the Oracle VM Virtual Box, and the RAM's size is 2GB

it counts..... ave u checked other options listed by dhtml and I? if u are running a Windows 8 and above system, u can also download visual studio emulator for Android, install it, enable hype-v(check if your system supports it)in your system and it should work better still check here https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/visualstudioalm/2015/07/20/using-the-visual-studio-emulator-for-android-from-android-studio-or-eclipse-with-adt/ NOTE: all the emulators I have mentioned so far ,I use dem with visual studio not Android studio....dem go work sha bt if they don't, jst get an Android phone and use it.

@Darangi007 Thanks so much for reaching out an helping hand, tapping from your wealth of experience, can a system with the following specifications( pasted below ), which also does not also support virtualization, be used for android application development?

BASIC SYSTEM INFORMATION
1. Processor Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU D425 @ 1.80GHz, 1800 Mhz, 1 Core(s), Logical Processor(s)
2. BIOS Version/Date Phoenix Technologies LTD 6.00, 2/14/2011

As long as your system don't support virtualization.
the only option is to use your phone because even genymotion may not be able to run it emulator , but you can still try other options.

@Vstuffs, thanks, the other emulators 've laid my hands on all require a virtualization-supported CPU, and as regards using a phone, going back to the last post of @dhtml18, that's really frightening!

there are two things involve
1:get a system that supports virtualization
2:try using the phone

I believe bluestacks should work on any system. This new bluestacks is not too good for an android developer, the old one is better.
In case anyone needs a cracked version of the old bluestacks, i got it
Re: Android Programming: PC Is Not Intel Virtual Technology Enabled, What Can I Do? by Darangi007: 3:07pm On Jun 27, 2016
@developal, most of these emulators use VTX. currently the best solution to your problem is using a phone(ave been debugging with my personal phone, it is still alive), bt u ought to still try bluestacks as suggested by dhtml and try Android emulator for visual studio (it uses VTX ,bt it's different from other emulators)
Re: Android Programming: PC Is Not Intel Virtual Technology Enabled, What Can I Do? by Nobody: 3:45pm On Jun 27, 2016
From my experience, bluestacks works even on systems that do not even meet certain requirements. In short, if bluestacks fail to work on your PC, just go ahead with your phone.
But I observed that since I changed to a tecno phone, the phone has not died and i have been using it for like 3 months now sha.

hi

what exactly is the error? there is a difference between "PC Is Not Intel Virtual Technology Enabled" and "PC Doesn't support Intel Virtual Technology". please make clarification. Preferably share a screen shot of the error.

Vt-x can be enabled from the system configuration tab of your system bios. On most system it doesn't come enabled by default
