Following the successful exit of United Kingdom from the European Union on Friday, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu have decided to follow same path to self-determination. IPOB have officially launched the campaign slogan titled: BIAFREXIT VOTE. We believe this is a call for Referendum. Despite the fact that the BREXIT/EU campaign is quite a different scenario from the BIAEXIT/Nigeria one, if they go about it sanely, responsibly and with no xenophobia or inciting hate speeches, they will not only get support from unexpected quarters, they will get their desire in record time... However, as long as influential Ibos don't support the movement, it's not likely to amount to much.... movements need the right drivers & a concerted & balanced approach. Gays in America are not up to 10% but with the might of the Hollywood & business community gay mafia + making alliances & befriended people on the other side, they've almost basically turned themselves to "sacred cows".... Well if Biafra....or anyone wants a referendum to get out of Nigeria 1.They have to change the Constitution to reflect that. UK laws allowed for a Scottish referendum in 2014. Nigerian laws at the moment do not allow for a referendum to split the country (and don't place your hopes on the 2014 Constitutional conference report...because it does not include secession on the agenda....) 2.That means IPOB would have to lobby senators and house of reps members to get that constitutional change. It is not just SE senators they have to lobby.....even SW and Northern senators too have to be lobbied to support a constitutional amendment. 3.And not only the Natl Assembly.....every state Assembly too must be lobbied as well.
