My mother used to be a teacher in Kano state. She used to tell me how dangerous it is being a christian, Southern and most of all Igbo in that state. She once told us how she and several of the teachers in her school were chased for hours things thrown at them by kids Yong enough to be her children all because they were angry about sine BS. None of the northern adults even dared stop it, some even joined the children. My mother told us that was the first time she tried denying igbo because she taught claiming just delta would save her but that didn't help her. They chased all of them, throwing stones and other things at them. According to my mother, Kano wasn't just the place, when she requested to be moved to another state, she was sent to sokoto and she claimed, na the same thing for sokoto. You had to walk around in egg she'll if you're not a northern muslim. She quit after that and came home.
