We're talking 2026 and you want to drag us back to 99....the British press will maul any manager that doesn't have at least one Brit in his starting XI. Most of then are there because of the homegrown rule that was recently implemented, not because they're anything special.

That you would compare the likes of De Bruyne, Aguero and Martial to these monumental jokes is an insult to this guys that have been awesome in other leagues.

You just hit the nail on the head. Tottenham had a good half season, Hodgson throws away the players that struggled to qualify and put in players with no tournament experience. He doesn't understand that club and international football are different. Giaccherini rarely plays for Sunderland but see what he is doing at the euros because he has been with Conte over time
