Go and scan your vehicle. Vehicle Stability Control is faulty, Traction is faulty and error codes are stored in your ECU. 1 Like |

You must scan your car Trac sign means the car is no longer using traction control function VSC means vehicle stability control, The engine sign means something is wrong with the Power train, so scan the car and post the codes, and you must use a professional scanner to scan the vehicle. 1 Like |

Scan for engine DTC's. There won't necessarily be any traction control codes. With Toyota, if there are engine emission DTC's, that throw the ECM into limp mode, VSC and Traction Control are disabled. Scan the engine control module, identify the fault, repair, clear codes, and I can guarantee the VSC and Traction Control warnings will go off. 2 Likes |

Your query has been answered properly by some previous posters. I suspect a catalyst deficiency issue on your car (it's quite common), once this happens, your car has been programmed to disable Vehicle Stability (VSC) and TRACtion control. Scan your car. |
