If Nigeria must qualify for 2018 world cup… 1. Amaju pinnick lead NFF must appoint a substantive coach for the super eagles Its over 5 months since Oliseh resigned and we have not been able to appoint a coach. Algerian coach left it didn’t take them week to appoint a new coach. 2. the national team must establish a playing pattern and rhythm In the past one year the nation teams have had over four coaches, three captains and several players with no clear cut playing pattern. 3. The abundant talents MUST be annex to form a team On current form Nigeria has an embarrassing array of young hungry players but “nobody” on grand to blend them.

Now here's the Spirit of Optimism.....  I stand with this confession..... This is the kinda group we need to take WC qualification seriously from our very first game. Before we qualified for the 1994 World cup, we had to overcome 1992 African Champions, Ivory Coast (cote d'ivoire) and 1990 African Champions, Algeria in the final round. Also at Afcon 2006, we had to navigate a group that had Ghana and Senegal (that year's Afcon group of death). We eventually topped that group with 9 solid points. Anytime, Nigeria have been presented with such monster groups on the Continent, we always seem to rise to the occasion. This is Nigeria's toughest group of all time, a group of Champions and Giants but this is what Nigeria's Rising New Golden Generation of players need to step up and mature ahead of the Post-Russia 2018 era. I think the one team Others should bet on to qualify from a group having the "Almighty" Algeria, The Indomitable Lions of Cameroun, The Super Eagles of Nigeria and The Zambian Copper bullets........ is Nigeria. Why?? It is in groups like these that The Eagles always seem to soar. Much better..... Kita ki bia.... Truth is I am not in prayer mode for this group of hell, blood, thunder and death..... lol Nigerian football is not in order right now but we can't rule out this fact... the resilience of Nigerian teams to rise to the occasion regardless of prayers even in dark hours. My mind is fixed on the post-Russia 2018 era when the current young super talents would have matured a little more.... Whether we make Russia 2018 WC or not isn't my focus now... it is the post-Russia 2018 era that really interests me. But until the qualifiers have started and are concluded, it is too early to say Nigeria won't make it. robosky02: |
