Op, people hate the guy for not encouraging bribery. He's being hated for doing the right thing!

I don't think he's done anything bad to any worker from your write up.

I've not read anything about him not being humble.

He could have asked your husband for a bribe to get a contract with them but he didn't. His company has just lost a honest man I'd say.

We all will experience set backs at a point or the other, but that's usually for a period. The experience makes us stronger, wiser. The dude's gaining his own life experience now.

lolxxxx, Maybe dats d case but I don't think its right to become everyone's enemy in d office. Nobody is encouraging bribery and I didn't say he is against people bribing them. Are u telling us dat appreciating ur costumers after doing good business with you is bad? Its not bribe because d person didn't ask for it, its from ur hrt just to encourage him or her. Eat alone and die alone no de favour business sometimes ooooo

You've not succeeded in convincing us as to how that man treated you wrongly. Perhaps he wasn't really corky when yourself and hubby visited his office. Maybe it was just both of you feeling intimidated and insecure while before him, as a result of his position as of then.

Then again, you seem to be painfully oblivious of the fact that in this clime, any superior who doesn't allow his employees misbehave or act as they like is termed 'wicked'. After they finished gossiping with you, did you ever stop to think that his employees may have painted a wrong picture about him because he handles them firmly.

Why am I rambling? I am, because you actually sound like the bad (very bad) person here, not the man. What's more, please, don't go to God's altar to rejoice at his misfortune, cos I'm almost sure that would be your next line of action. Thank you.

Are you minding the op. Coming here to gloat publicly about an innocent man's misfortune, to the irritation of everyone. I wouldn't know where she got that sense of entitlement from.

#Just see how bad some people can be. You give them something, they say you are stingy. You don't give them anything, you are wicked. I don't get it.

Same thing I thought when I was reading her story.

Nigerians like to feel as if people owe them. What does the man owe them? He gave them a contract and she's complaining that it's a small one not even up to one million naira. Haba. Seriously.
We need to get rid of this entitlement mentality.

Where's this appreciation money supposed to come out from? His personal salary (seeing as he's just another employee) or the company's money? Just asking.

My dear brothers and sisters am not a good writer but I will try to pass my message.

Hubby came back one day from office and was like baby there is this big company I will like to do bussines with, dat one of their workers invited him to see their Oga on top to know if he will approve the contract. So my hubby was like nne please I want u to escort me with all pleasure I accepted. When we got there, Oh! My God, a very big company, u can't even trek to many places inside d company, They have over 10000 trucks ( sinotruck) To cut d story short after all d procedure we met the Oga on top. D man was acting over busy man and all other unnessary show off stuff for us to know dat he is d Oga on top. After everything d man gave us small contract dat is not even up to 1 million. Other workers were complaining abt d man dat he is too stingy he won't even allow their business associates to dash them anything, he will get upset and terminate d contract. Saying dat d person is trying to bribe them. Almost everybody in dat company hate him (Although e no concern me, Na them sabi) what marvelled me today was as I was busy recording our arrived goods ooo. I saw someone dat looks like dat " Oga on top" on top of jakata and d jakata stopped besides our office. I was like so dis Oga on top came to visit us, dat means we don hammer wella today. He went inside our office to meet hubby after brief discussion the man left. I rushed inside immediately asking hubby if he has approved d full contract for us. To my greatest surprise, The man has been sacked, he actually came for help. Hubby told me he came d other day when I wasn't around to ask him for advice on how to start up a new beginning now he came to ask hubbysome certain questions about bussines. Oh! My God I was speechless. I felt for d man and I learnt some lessons today and I want to share it with Nairalanders,

1. Please whatever position u are today or u will still attain tomorrow, please let dat no enter ur head, don't use dat position to suppress or oppress those dat are under you because u don't know tomorrow.

2. Please no matter how big d company u are working with is, no matter ur rank, try and have ur personal bussines no matter how small it may look like.

3. Neva ignore or treat anybody dat comes ur way badly and always remain thankful to God for whatever u think u have because he is d giver of all things.

Feel free to share any similar experience u have encountered, We all are still learning.

asides the fact that I see you as the BAD person here and not the other guy. the bigger part is that you are likely an Ungrateful person. My issue with you here is you not appreciating that contract you were given because it's not up to 1 million. Do you know how many people are out there looking for such opportunity who are even far better than your own company?

if you do not appreciate the little you get/have and treat it well, big ones wunt come your way. it's not a curse, it's just life. I rest my case.

Dear u are getting me wrong, I wasn't refering to d man. What I mean is people dat do business with them, like for instance we, Assuming we get a good contract with them, after d business we can wish to give d worker dat invited us something to show appreciation. If d man happens to know or see dat, dats a big problem. I didn't say he should show appreciation. For what kwanu?
Re: Life Story! Mind how you associate with people. by cococandy(f): 3:41pm On Jun 30, 2016
Okay. Sorry for that.

Well probably there's something against the employees taking money from clients in the employee guidebook. And he might be a stickler for the rule book. That may be why they dislike him in the office.
Either way I haven't seen what he did wrong.
I wish him the best.
