Sincerely, BEDC are really foolish. This was what happened in some part of Ondo state(precisely ondo south senatorial district consisting of 6 local govt) more than 2 years ago and till now, no light in that region. Imagine, more than 2 years of darkness

This power holding people re the highest fraud company in nigeria........and people re not doing ny things about them....imagine,they will only give you light just for a total number of 8 days in a months of 30 -31 days, and at the end of the month, they will bring a months bill fo you to pay all or they will cut nd take away your wire......this is broad day thieving.......thief all they know......very soon I will start jotting down the number of days I see light in my area,so at d end of the months,I will just do my calculation by checking the monthly bill by days and times it by the number of days the bring light and pay them........or even calculating it to hours that the light lasted and pay them like that........enough of all this broad day light rubbery and intimidation

That's how the useless people were going round to disconnect light at bdpa after suffering 5 days of darkness. God save them that they came with an army officer and pick up truck. They know the beating uniben boys would have given them

Does anything ever happen in bdpa? Lily livered zone.

1 army officer can't scare ekosodin youths.

Why go to collect money for a service youdid not rrender?
why not allow them to disconnect you if truly you don't use electricity.

This craziness needs not be encouraged in any civilised society, if all electricity customers stops paying their bills today and begins to fight or resist electricity workers on lawful duties, wont the power sector collapse? And yet, this is a nation that has acute gap in power availability in need of massive investments to turn the situation around.

ChangeIsCostant:
Officials of Benin Electricity Distribution Company BEDC and soldiers were allegedly given a chase on Wednesday after they stormed the compound of a member of the Edo Civil Society Organisations, Omobude Agho in Benin city Edo state, to disconnect his light and others over huge unpaid bills.

According to confirmed reports, the area was soon filled up with rampaging youths who resisted the officials, soldiers and also reportedly chased them away. The people also took back the electricity cables that were seized in the first place (as seen in the picture) after which they mobilised themselves and marched to the BEDC outlet in the region for a protest.
