hi guys....how is the hols going, hope its good?

well most of us must have heard of the Fibonacci sequence at one point in time or the other while studying patterns of numbers, specifically when we learnt "SEQUENCE & SERIES" in high school, so,

WHATS FIBONACCI SEQUENCE

Well, we have to know how this sequence came about, the Fibonacci sequence is named after Italian mathematician Leonardo of Pisa, known as Fibonacci. His 1202 book Liber Abaci introduced1 the sequence to Western European mathematics, although the sequence had been described earlier as Virahanka numbers in Indian mathematics, this sequece starts with an initial value of 1, then the already gotten value is added to the previous number to get the next term, the number before 1 is 0, so 1 + 0, is 1, we now have 1,1 again we add 1+1=2, so we have 1, 1, 2, adding 1 to 2 we have 3, thus we have 1, 1, 2, 3 and so on, repeating that process we come up with;

1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, . . .

The Fibonacci Sequence is an infinite one.

FIBONACCI NUMBERS IN BOTANY AND OUR LIVES

Now whats fascinating is, fibonacci numbers occur everyday in our life, starting from our head, our nose is 1, our eyes are 2, our nose is 1, our nostrils are 2, our ears are 2, these are fibonacci numbers, even more fascinating, if we look at the flowers of petals, whenever we count, we get a finobacci number, you dont believe? alright let me clear the doubts,

i am sure we have higher fibonacci numbers out there, but this is all i could find for now, but fibonacci sequence is not restricted to petals only, Here we have a schematic diagram of a simple plant, the sneezewort. New shoots commonly grow out at an axil, a point where a leaf springs from the main stem of a plant.

cool uhn? cheesy, Finobacci numbers occurs virtually in everything we do, okay lets look at the pineapple,

looking closely we find different Finobacci numbers when counting the scales in a spiral form, here is what i mean

cool!!! we get a 5

ok, look again,

Thats not all, there is more!

this is a 13, this is so awesomely cool! The Fibonacci number patterns encountered herein occur so frequently in nature that we often hear the phenomenon referred to as a "law of nature". Not all four-petalled flowers are so rare as the four-leaf clover is reputed to be and deviations, sometimes even large ones, from Fibonacci patterns have been found. If this is at all disturbing to the modern botanist, it is not at all so to the Fibonacci devotee, for whom the whole phenomenon, if not a "law", is at least a fascinating prevalent tendency!

Funny enough a Fibonacci number occurs when you use a "grin" emo on NL, yes! The number is 3 grin grin
