The immediate past president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has denied a report that he is interested in contesting the 2019 presidential election. An online medium had reported that Jonathan declared interest to run for presidency in 2019 in Bayelsa yesterday, adding that the former president was inundated with calls from Nigerians to recontest and salvage the economy from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC. But Daily Sun quotes Jonathan’s media aide, Ikechukwu Eze, as denying the former president is considering taking another shot at the presidency.
