Something looking this green and fresh looking cannot be in a canned tin tomato..the green would have been degraded to black
That maggot would need at least a little oxygen to survive , whether being an obligatory or facultative anerobe
It is never never possible with an undamaged can.
Except you saw the damaged can and went ahead to use it.
