LCA MK2 will be a MCA (medium combat aircraft)

Aeronautical Development Agency, the design agency of the indigenous fighter aircraft programme, has finalised the systems and is looking to freeze the design of the medium weight fighter in a couple of months. It is expected to have a maximum take off weight of 17.5 tonnes with an improvement of over 85% in weapons and payload carrying capacity to that of LCA mk1/mk1a light combat aircraft.

As per official release ,

LCA mk1 and LCA mk1a will be bracketed in light weight category.

LCA mk2 will be bracketed in medium weight category.

INSAS bullpup prototype from the early days

Generals did not accept it becz then bullpup design was not in fashion and hence not worth the effort to be a trend setter rather be a trend follower like donkeys

Litening G4i pod in LCA is also meant to serve the role of IRST

Many r not aware of this capability in LCA

The ind... version specifically allows for auto detection of aerial targets and EO tracking of selected aerial target in A to A missions.

What's the range sir?

Don't know , these r force multipliers so op info regarding them r not published nor acknowledged.

It has 1024x1024 pixel resolution for the IIR/CCD sensors so if the flight profile and atmospheric conditions r favourable then range will be good , speculatively anywhere between 50-100 km in a to a mode.

It is strictly assumption on my part ie the range in a to a mode.so be warned.

U need arms / cash and ur broke

So what does a nuclear power country do

U do this............

http://www.presstv.com/Detail/2018/04/18/558863/Pakistan-admits-to-handing-over-4000-citizens-to-US-

It's more like 10000 citizens over a period of time who were sold/killed in exchange of arms and dollars.

F16 MLUs, PGMs, EW systems,AIM-120c5, sidewinder wvr, targeting pods etc r not cheap.

And it is the same country whose military chief threatened to shoot down American drones if they intruded their airspace. And it got spead all over the international media.

https://thedefensepost.com/2017/12/08/pakistan-air-force-shoot-us-drones/

It is actually hilarious when few days later Americans drones started doing strikes and the military well had to chew on their bombastic soundbites.

But wait it becomes even more hilarious now grin

After the US drone strike inside the country ,as usual lot of condemnation and crying from the media and government.

which ceased abruptly , and ever body become quite as a dead mouse, when it was revealed that the US drones which did the strikes were being launched from a base inside the country. grin grin

Who needs to watch cartoons when one gets treated to such good quality comedy grin grin grin

The 1 ton sub-munitions bomblet warhead is interesting.

The way the bomblets r arranged.

The ones at the tip of the cone are linear vertically
While those below r arranged in a spiral configuration vertically.

So one can assume 2 types of bomblets r being used here

And they r intended to Strike the target in 2 different ways

The ones near the cone will be released on the target while the ones after it will end up dispersed around the target.

Anyways all this might look simple but trust me even the mathematics involved is so huge in all this that it is 100% given that one will lose his sanity grin
