I was going abt my normal business today at around 11am when I was flagged down by VIO officials, I stopped and they ordered me to park very well which I did with utmost confidence . Now they started asking me of all manner of things including my drivers license, I insisted dt it's nt their duty to ask drivers license we dragged n dragged n they gave up on dt. They asked for fire extinguisher, caution sign etc I asked them if they are road safety they said no then I told them they don't ve any biz with dt. We dragged it until they agreed. Next they asked me to blow ur horn, put on ur headlights, brake lights, wipers, reverse light all working still they won't let me go.

Next oga bring all ur car papers, they flipped through it and realized everything was OK until one of them shouted oga u no get MOT. I told them MOT was for commercial vehicles n they insisted it was for private vehicles too.

O boy we dragged and dragged n they told me MOT is jst 2500 naira dt one of their officers will accompany to their office to ensure I get one. I thinking it's only 2500 drove them to their office.

Na so I land their office n things changed as their oga was more interested on my fine than on me getting MOT. They fined me 10k for not having MOT.

I ended up paying 5k fine after much negotiations n begging. I went to a licensing office n paid 1600 for MOT.

So my people is MOT really for private vehicles?

The fine you paid, was it paid to the organisation's account or paid by hand and issued receipt, or bribed and walked away?

Their fat oga will likely b d one to chop dt money o to think there are over 80 vehicles they impounded for various offences plus over 30 keke. So VIO will b chopping close to 300 to 400k daily as bribe abi na fine Buhari must hear this


They tricked me into going to their office dts where I missed it, once ur vehicle lands in their office you r at their mercy n they have touts to deflate all ur tyres if u dnt pay ur fine b4 d close of work dt day


If they catch u with all expired papers n ur wiper, head light, brake light, horn or reverse light fault. Even with abeg ur fine go pass 30k.

Always settle your problem there on the spot. Don't ever follow anyone to their office, once you get to the office story must always change, and Oga will always believe whatever boys tell am.
