Some birds were flying and met a bird on their way. The bird greeted them; hello hundred! They said we are not hundred, we need half of us plus you to make us hundred.........How many birds were flying?

There are 49 birds flying... The one that greeted the 49 birds Makes the birds 50 in number.

So they needs 50 more birds to Make a Hundred.

67 birds were flying in total

66 were flying together and made the statement "we need half of us plus you to make us 100"
While the other 1 bird made the statement "hello 100"

So 67 is the total birds flying except of course that one bird was walking in the sky angry

Your argument almost got me, but not quite right.
This is mathematics, not a riddle.
If they'd said "Half of us" plus 'you' will make a Hundred, then your answer woulda been correct, but it was said "WE NEED", so, as much as applying Mathematics is the priority here, a little English helps too.
