No the first educated in Nigeria were Calabar indigenes (including Kalabari or 'New Calabar'), mostly servants and traders who could speak portuguese, Spanish and of course English since the 1500's, which was since when Calabar was an international port, look it up.

Then we should also consider what you mean by 'educated', because people were taught before the white gods came and brought us out of dancing around a fire.

If you knew that Lagos wasn't part of Nigeria why did you say "the first educated blacks in Nigeria were creoles and the majority of them were yorubas", or maybe your saying that they were the first educated when Nigeria was created. Well if Calabar and New Calabar or Kalabari natives had been educated since the 1500's how can the first educated blacks in the 20th century state of Nigeria (which had Calabar as its first capital) be from Lagos?
