A government worker died yesterday (Tuesday, July 19th) in Kogi State after falling and injuring himself during a protest by state workers over their owed salaries (for a period of six months). The deceased identified as Alhaji Sali Ndarusa, worked with the Ministry of Education, at the state capital Lokoja .

According to Rariya, he died at his home as a result of lack of money to buy food and medicine. He has been laid to rest according to the Islamic rites. .

It's quite unfortunate. May his soul rest in peace. This is one of the many death induced by Yahaya Bello's insensitivity. Agreed, there is a widespread dip in revenue leading to salary payment problem, but in his own case, he got the bailout, and feelers have it that he put it in fixed deposit, thus depriving the workers of their due and exposing them to untold hardship in the name of a never-ending staff Verification.
I am disappointed, as a Youth who expected pragmatism and startling performance from him, so as to send a message to the aged that the youths can do it better. But,.... All we have seen so far in his administration is: ineptitude, high handedness, arrogance, controversies, deceit, shenanigans,etc.
