Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by preselect(m): 3:32am On Sep 16, 2009
this is no good news for me, but i think it is biblical, him who had talents and didnt use it will have the talent taken away from him and given to another. with 60votes in the senate and 79 vote majority in the house and an overwhelming landslide in november, one would think the democrats will run the show, the way they were elected to do.
no way, the republicans seem to be running the show now. and they do it without republican votes. the spineless democrats have been so deluded about bipartisan bills that they have made so much concessions that the bill coming out from the ''gang of six'' in the senate looks more like a republican bill than a democrat bill. such that in a testimony in congress, a former chief of an insurance company said the bill may as well be called '' the insurance industry profit protection and enhancement act'' . . .
if the democrats cant use their overwhelming majority i dont see any reason why americans should vote them in again. i'll rather have republicans in power b/c they know how to use power.

and someone should tell this guy to stop talking. you are the president for God's sake, if u want to talk, talk to the democratic senators and congressmen who should pass real reform bill. all this media brouhaha and townhalls, haba

^ pres-elect, are you bored at the WH? you're slated for a handful of shows on sunday and a finale on David Letterman monday night . . . well you did promise you'd be an accessible-to-the-people-president afterall
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by preselect(m): 4:52pm On Sep 18, 2009
seriously, this guy is getting on my nerves. what does he think he is doing? a reality tv show? he is the president. he is talking too much and very soon people will be tired of hearing him. haba. learn from LBJ who was always on the phone talking to senators or talking to journalists telling them about the senators he spoke to, that way he presurrised the senators to pass his bills. bills which became laws that people like obama, you and tayo are enjoying today 40yrs after.
this guy has nearly the same electoral victory as LBJ did in I964 election and caongressional support, yet he is not being pushful like LBJ he is busy running around tv shows and townhalls. stay in washington and do the damn politics involved to get what u want.
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by TayoD1(m): 11:03pm On Sep 18, 2009
You are making one very vital mistake. Majority of Americans see themselves as Conservatives or conservative-leaning. They voted for Obama because they thought he was middle of the road. Reality has now hit them in the face that he is as leftist as can be. His problem today is not with Republicans but with the Democrats. A good number of them understand that the people don't want what Obama wants and are now going to stand with their people and not the President.
Let them come out with a bill that mirrors the values of Americans and the bill will pass with good support. So far, they have done none of that.
And as you noted, support for Obama's healthcare reform keeps dropping everytime he appears on TV. He is overdoing it this weekend and it is going to kill him. He can't charm his way with the American people anymore. He is no longer the innocent looking and believable guy that Americans' pictured during the election. He basically cannot be trusted!
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by preselect(m): 4:46pm On Sep 21, 2009
did u really believe that americans voted for obama b/c they thot he was in the middle? tayo i recommend u for a comedy show you'll be great
what happened to the most liberal senator in the senate? even the clintons weren't so leftist. what happened to all the promise of reforming healthcare? all the socialist attack during the campaign? lol . . . tayo, some of us here in nairaland are educated and not everybody here has memory deficits
but anyway, i'll recommend you to BBC, they need some real comedians. these british jokes are too dry
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by TayoD1(m): 1:03am On Sep 22, 2009
I'm glad to be providing you with some comic relief at no cost at all.
What you have failed to realise is that those charges did not stick on him throughout the campaign. He spoke middle of the road with a mantra of change that no one could really point at. He was a chameleon who couldn't show his true colours then. Now that the wind is blown and the fowl yansh is revealed, many are now not sure that this was the yansh they had in mind.

In all the posts on this thread, I'm yet to see why republicans should rule forever.
Pray tell us how and what John M would have done differently.
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by preselect(m): 9:39pm On Sep 29, 2009
looks like the public option has been dropped from the senate . . . . . hmmn, let me think . . . . healthcare reform is dead on arrival . . . .
obama will now sign something which he will call healthcare reform . . . .ok . . . .i can only decribe democrats in three words . .
weak . . . . weak . . . . . weak
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by FBS: 11:17am On Sep 30, 2009
Pathetic! The republican that was the president for 8 years, what did he do? What were his achievements?
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by preselect(m): 3:44pm On Sep 30, 2009
that is the issue. the republicans had the presidency and did what they wanted to do. they had the tax cuts, privatised the iraq war, had huge oil contracts to their cronies, did their thing while the congress was in thier hands. now democrats have congress, with 60votes( the republicans didnt have 60 votes in their own time, yet they did their thing) but democrats cant pass a healthcare reform bill. something that majority of americans want.
with everything that rumsfield did, it was only after democrats regained congress that bush fired him. yet, with 60 voted in the senate, obama hysterically lays off members of his administration at the slightest cough from glenn beck. even acorn, acorn that has been a massive recruiter for democratic voters went under attack from glenn beck and without investigation, the US senate cut off funding for acorn. did anybody cut off funding for the military after abu graib? stuff gets investigated first. u dont act based of videos from fox news affiliates and even as much as those videos are real, the people in those videos should be prosecuted, and the whole acorn investigated and punished accordingly, and not the whole ''punishment'' even b4 investigation. shame on democrats.
now they cant even vote for public option. hmmmn . . . . . i think the democrats will loose seats in 2010. and obama may leave by 2012, . . . . . . palin may be the president . . . with all her wisdom
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by FBS: 7:30am On Oct 01, 2009
pres-elect:erm erm. . .my bad but are you saying the highlighted can be categorised as achievements?
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by OgidiBoy(m): 7:39am On Oct 01, 2009
Did anyone see Rep. Alan Grayson on CNN last night ? wow the man is my hero, it would be nice if the Dems had half the courage this man has.

This is how to do it.
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by thameamead(f): 12:58pm On Oct 01, 2009
people are getting bored of obama because he's acting weak, he speeches are far to long and he does not need the republican to pass the bill. it looks as if he's sulking up to foc news and the republican. the republican are nothing not a bunch of racist, all they want is for obama to fail. obama needs to stop going on all TV that would have him, he should stay in washington and sort out the healthy care asap,
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by preselect(m): 2:41pm On Oct 01, 2009
i'm with u I00%
its not wether the republicans are doing the right thing or not, (there is nothing good about the republican party of today) the fact is, once elected, they do their thing, wether u like it or not. yet when democrats came in, with 60 senate votes, they cant pass a bill, and they tell me that the republican party is a party of no. bullsh-t. the republican party is not the one holding up the healthcare bill. it is democrats who wont vote for it. u have 60votes and u cant pass bills, george bush did his thing with, at some point, only 5I votes in the senate. karl rove was called mr 5I% , he was purported to have said he doesnt need 52 votes. yet with 60, dems cant do a ding. and they want me to believe it is the republicans that are in their way. obama keeps going from tv, to tv, saying the same thing over and over and over again. and the worst he wants bipartisanship . . . .
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by TayoD1(m): 12:44am On Oct 02, 2009
and the worst he wants bipartisanship . . . .You just have the knack for reporting errors with so much confidence. Obama seeking bipartisanship? For where? Where is the history to prove this? If he could have his way, he would have passed the healthcare bill without a single Republican support. In an attempt to blame the Republicans for the disunity in the DNC, he is now stylishlish hiding behind the mantra of bipartisanship. We need new lies at this point. The old ones are so stale.
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by RichyBlacK(m): 4:22am On Oct 02, 2009
Obama's biggest mistake is trying to play Mr. Nice Guy with those Republican goons!
There is nothing good about Republican politicians, absolutely nothing!
Democrats on the other hand are a bunch of spineless amnesiacs! Have they forgotten how the father of all assholes George W. Bush and the father of all liars D.ick Cheney totally ignored the Democrats and passed all sorts of foolish bills and violated the U.S. constitution?
If Obama and the Democrats do not ensure, by whatever means necessary, that a public option is included in the final health care bill, I will conclude that America is doomed and start preparing to move to Canada, the UK or France!
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by RichyBlacK(m): 4:32am On Oct 02, 2009
May God bless Alan Grayson! Just added him to my HEROES list!
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by OgidiBoy(m): 5:16am On Oct 02, 2009
I've never given money to a political campaign, including Obama's but las night I donated to Rep. Alan Grayson's campaign because I feel like his the only Dem with gots.
I can only wish he would one day stand in from of congressional Democrats including Pelosi, Reid and Obama, Zip down his pants and underwear so those little weasels would see what titanium BULLS look like.

Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by thameamead(f): 12:11pm On Oct 02, 2009
@Rickblack, i totaly agree with u. playing mr nice guy is not helping obama in any way, he's cut acorn's funding because of the bad publicity but he needs acorn. i think the secret filming of acorn thing was by an association linked to republican's. obama needs to show the republican's and fox news that he does not give a hoot about them. despite the fact that fox news and new york post did not suppport his campaign, he stil won. he does not need the republican's blessing. i no longer have faith in him, he's too over exposed, always on tv talking nonscence. the republican's party is ust like the tories here in the uk, its a party for only the rich and privileged. millions die in america because they 've got no health care insurnace. the republican's are just using the illegal immgrants as excuse, i bet most of them have receive some sort of donations from health insurance companies. the republican's are the nasty, to hell wit the republican chairman, he's black, he's called mike steele ot whatever he's bloody name, the republican's are using him to get more votes from black, he's a slowpoke, a muppet. i bet he gets no say in anything just like his ms rice and colin power. shame on all republicans and shame on obama for sulking up to them.
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by JeSoul(f): 3:47pm On Oct 02, 2009
Lol, you fellas are just funny.
Joe Wilson is the hero of the hardcore Republicans . . . Alan Grayson is the hero of the hardcore democrats.
Both sides believe they have an exclusive hold on the truth . . . both sides remain obstinate . . . refusing to entertain the possiblility they could be possibly mishandling the truth . . . as a result they end up being oblivious to the fact they are both wrong while convincing themselves they are right.

Jesoul who is stimulus . . . am not stimulus.

ah you're not Stimulus? then he must be your twin lol
He was this very knowledgable, outspoken guy in the religion section quite a while back, always campaigning against catholicism, islam etc . . . very very similar to your writing style and content. Haven't seen him in a long while so I thot he was you reincarnate. My bad! lol
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by No2Atheism(m): 4:26pm On Oct 02, 2009
I am sysuser or witness or sysuserx . . . maybe its me you are refering to but mixing up the name . . .
Jesoul . . .am telling you i literarily hold my head in my hands wen i am researching history . . . its even a kind of miracle blacks are still owning africa.
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by JeSoul(f): 4:40pm On Oct 02, 2009
Nah there was a Stimulus dude, very smart guy just like you.
As for the whole Africa thing, I think we carry of lot of the blame for the state we're in, the slave traders and invaders had their role definitely, but I think a good chunk of the damage is/was self-inflicted.
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by No2Atheism(m): 4:45pm On Oct 02, 2009
funny enough i never knew about the stimulus dude . . .
I get your point jesoul and i agree that africans are partly to blame. However what i noticed is that what we are blaming africans for is the symptom and not the disease itself. However the part blaming of africans is a recent thing meaning its just 20% of the problem. The 80% of the problem is created, instigated and sustained either by Arabs or Europeans.
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by preselect(m): 6:42pm On Oct 02, 2009
now that mr nice guy did not get him the olympics, can he try to bully his way with his majority congress and pass a real healthcare bill? this guy should know by now that the world is getting too used to seeing him around.
perhaps, perhaps . . may be, the republicns are right for once, he shouldnt have staked the prestige of the office of the president of the US on such trivialities as olympics. this is the first time the olympics is rejecting a G8 president/prime minister for a 3rd world country. pity it happened to Obama. but now he can face the crisis in washington without showing his face.
republicans will be so glad now and this is the first real sign that Obama will be a one term president. he has lost his charm.
they will taunt him now. the nest attack line will be . . . the world loves u but they dont respect you. tested and confirmed.
Re: Why The Republicans Should Rule Forever by TayoD1(m): 6:59pm On Oct 02, 2009
Don't mind the IOC jare. They are all a bunch of racists. Is it not given that the only reason to oppose Obama on any issue is becuase of his skin pigmentation? If we look closer, I'm sure we'll find out that Joe Wilson had a hand in that decision. Bunch of Obama-hating racists!
