Nigeria will be the second country on the African continent, after South Africa, to have La Liga stationed in the country full-time, with league president Javier Tebas visiting for the office's inauguration.
Continuing to open up borders, Nigeria is a major market and opportunity for La Liga's outward growth.
The league body also have offices in the United States, China and Dubai, in addition to the two in Africa, adding further emphasis to the centrality of Nigeria in expanding into new markets and promoting the league abroad.
"One of Spain's strongest institutions, La Liga, is bringing a better future to Abuya," said Spanish embassador to Nigeria Antonio Barnuevo of the strengthening of ties.
Tebas has mentioned that with the increased cooperation, Spanish teams could begin visiting Nigeria for pre-season friendlies in the future, promoting he local NPFL in the process.
