Supporters of governor Muhammad Badaru are suspected to have attacked the home of former PDP governorship candidate Mallam Ibrahim Aminu Ringim.
This happened when the governor attended a wedding at his former opponent's hometown, Ringim.As the governor's convoy was passing near the former candidate's house, hoodlums suspected to be among the loyalists of the governor descended on people outside the house with sticks and machetes. In the ensuring fracas police attached to the governor's convoy fired tear gas which caused the hospitalization of one of Aminu Ringim's wives Hajiya Hadiza Aminu Ringim.
