My Story

Around this time last year, I was a notorious troll on nairaland. why? well, I initially joined this site innocently, my motive was to share my opinions on a wide range of topics (just like most people here) however, somewhere along the line, I became a victim of cyber bullying and so, being the jobless individual I was back then, I decided to take it upon myself to fight those who I believed had oppressed me. You know the saying “an idle mind is the devils workshop”… in an obsessive craze, I created several monikers to troll. i.e. wisdomiskey, efesuave, ogogoromasta, freecocoahubby etc.. the list is endless. Trolling became a compulsive habit for me and it was as though I had been possessed. I was on Nairaland constantly, it became an addiction, I became sleep deprived because I would stay up all night, fighting and trolling. My life became overwhelmed by darkness and took a turn for the worse.

My Apology

Even though it has been over a year, I would like apologize to everyone that I ever insulted or trolled i.e. Superleo1, Freecocoa, Cococandy (Scarletmoon), Shaybebaby, Francistony (Victoriabee) and many others I can’t remember right now. Most of you hurt me and also accused/insulted other innocent monikers that you thought were me. I also apologize to those who were caught in the crossfire and were wrongly accused. I am sorry for the vile nasty words I ever said on this website, to anybody that must have felt hurt by my insults I hope you can let go of the pain in your hearts. I regret my actions and even though it was a long time ago, I must still apologize whether it is late or not.. My prayer is that God forgives us all for the horrible things we all said to each other.

The Lesson Learnt

For all those who still engage in the sin of trolling, the fact that you are anonymous doesn’t mean God cannot see you. Pray for his mercy today and refrain from this deadly act.. Don’t let your words & actions send people to hell for God will hold you accountable for this. Please be very careful of what you post online – many have committed suicide because of cyber bullying, many lives have been destroyed because of this.
Those who have ever been bullied online by anyone (anonymous or not), please forgive and forget them – most trolls don’t realise the gravity of their actions – it’s all just fun and games to them but the consequences of this act is grave.

Once again, I am so sorry to all offended parties.

Being young is not an excuse for being stupid, so its good you've realised your folly.

Most times, when I type some unflattering things, I always go through before pressing the submit button and I ask myself "Is this really necessary on a faceless forum?" Why bother exerting so much energy and effort on people I don't even know or care to know? Why allow their words have a hold over me when they're not even important persons in my life?
I always end up not pressing the button if its something not nice despite the fact that I feel like hitting back at others I feel have said nasty things.

What spectacular rubbish. Most of those monikers you apologised for trolling deserve to be in correctional facilities for the instillation of cyber etiquettes.

1) freecocoa and cococandy: two masquerading quacks who never saw life beyond their miserable experiences .

Crusaders of all anti-social principles who are bent on narrowing people's choices to their own silly ideas.

2) Francistony (victoriabee) the 17yr old hallucinatory sufferer of severe depression and gender identity crisis. He has never been able to tell the NGO who are willing to sponsor his gender correctional sugery if he will like to remain a male or female.
Mindfulness and cococandy should help him decide.

When you meet these monikers online, it becomes a service to humanity to troll them without mercy. They need to be purged off their stupidity.
