it is ofcourse the right time to pass judgement on Buhari and his charade of an administration...do you want us to give the bigot 16 years to turn Nigeria aroundWhat's the man saying about the restructuring of the country...rubbish...

It is glaring Buhari has nothing to offer other than preach about corruption of which he himself is the champion...
Okay.. 2019 is around the corner, I'm sure Nigerians will do the needful.

Who mismanaged resources to the extent that FG was borrowing to pay workers under Jonathan? Tribal bigot like you forgot that she accepted the blame that our economy is in mess today because there was no 'willingness to save' during the oil boom.

Madam, you had 5yrs (2nd chance that most never get in life) to do this but No, "No will to save" was the excuse...

Talking about industrialization, same government talking about rice revolution then was granting rice import waivers to party jobbers, thereby under cutting genuine farmers and defeating the purpose..... smoke and mirrors revolution.

Do you have the capacity to understand her point? sad sad

Madam NGO....The mallam we have as president can not think beyond oil...He would rather die than see to it that our economy is diversified through a major restructuring of Nigeria. ..

Which proponent of diversification? She was finance minister of Nigeria for about 10 years for God sake, what diversification policy did she propose? She was the person who was suppose the formulate the revenue generating policies of the country but what did she do? She was granting waivers up and down, killing local industries. She even granted waivers on such mundane items like rice and vehicles. Then her other "diversification" policy is to mouth savings, without doing anything to get the federal government to save. She was more obsessed to saving the revenue due to the governors. i do not know where saving became a diversification policy.

Thank you o! The woman was considered de facto President (along with Deziani and Patience Jonathan). Nobody COULD have gone against her if she started the diversification she now mouths off.

Are you sure you fully understood the point she is trying to make?
What point is she trying to make. For her years in Government, what effort did she make to diversify?

Of course even a dunce knows 4 years is not enough. Someone said a journey of a thousand miles begins with a step; let's encourage that step and consolidate with whoever comes after...shading and theatrics doesn't get things done, only gives spectators room to "laff" or "wail". #justmyhumbleopinion tongue

Please educate us on how things work. Which specific ideas did she suggest on diversification of the economy that her boss rejected. Remember, she was the coordinating minister of the economy, so the responsibility for diversifying the economy rested on her shoulders.

Not just talking? But, talking is exactly what she's doing!.

Yet, she's missing the point and have no idea what needs be done to get us out of mass poverty!.

The type of development she's talking about cannot happen without true education. We caanot develop until we re-invent education in Africa to serve our need. The current model of education we inherited from colonial masters was not designed for development. It was designed for peripheral duties; which is why we have good musicians, good lawyers, financial managers, dancers, good economists, good authors, footballers, e.t.c, e.t.c.

Current system of education in Africa wasn't designed for wealth creation!. That's why we cannot develop!.

To develop, we must uproot the current system of education in Africa which doesn't allow us build our own airplanes, cars, fast train, TVs, submarine, ships, machines, e.t.c, e.t.c, and install a new system of knowledge acquisition (education) that will enable us do what we can't currently do.

The current system of education that creates people like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala who lacks scientific approach to problem solving is the problem. Now, she recognizes we need to do something on manufacturing. But, how? She have no credible answer to that.

In order to manufacture, a nation must create a system of knowledge acquisition (education) that makes them capable of literally manufacturing!. You may call it human capital development, but geared towards manufacturing- exactly what China have done, not even Dubai she mentioned.

Africa cannot develop without investment in grassroots science.

I explained this in details on the link on my signature.

It's one thing to be a minister and give advice... it's another thing to be president and refuse to take advice. If you want change, encourage this woman to run for president, and vote for her.
