A cross section of residents of Ekwulumili in the Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, are of the view that the six siblings, who died after eating the rice and beans their mother cooked were poisoned.

Their bereaved parents had attempted suicide just as rumour rife that the family was involved in a land tussle and opposition masterminded the poisoning of the food in their kitchen.
