The quest for the complete development of Nigerian goes beyond tribal or religious sentiments. It goes beyond blowing golden trumpets each time 50 or more streetlights are installed by a governor. From Rivers to Osun states, from Kano to Anambra states, Nigerians deserve a certain minimum comfort.

We must stop celebrating mediocrity. Nigeria discovered commercial crude oil in 1958, but 58 years later, some bigots are busy celebrating streetlights, amidst a complete dearth of public utilities and infrastructures.

Yet our leaders never lack billions to buy mansions overseas. How many years did it take to build Dubai and put streetlights in every damn residential street? Ok so we didn't know that residential neighborhoods should be illuminated too? Lack of exposure is a bad thing!

Why are we this foolish? Is it because of poverty? What are the responsibilities of a LGA council? To share allocation amongst themselves? Why do we have to link a governor to everything the state owes us? Are they gods or do they "work" from their personal bank accounts? Shame on Nigeria!

I pray fervently that God judge you by this comment and reward you accordingly.
I live in Osogbo and I know what goes on all around the state as a whole.
Every nooks and crannies of the state has one project or the other ongoing as I write and even the opposition knows this.

Illuminated Alekuwodo-Olaiya Junction to Gbongan Road, Osogbo with Street Lights courtesy of the Illuminate Osun Project, an initiative of Governor Rauf Aregbesola Administration.

Dubai has been dubbed the city of light but it seems Osun is catching up to that name with the on-going illuminate Osun project which is turning the city into a beauty at night.

An Amiloaded source, who recently visited the Alekuwodo-Olaiya Junction to Gbongan Road in the Osun State Capital, Osogbo reports, that the illuminate Osun project initiative is gradually turning nightlife in the state into a thrilling experience.

The project was one of the measures to tackle the rise of crime in the state. Security vehicles and gadgets were donated to the police while the illuminate Osun project was expected to deter criminals with lighting up of the nooks and crannies of the state.

Apart from the security benefit of the project, the beauty it brings to the state is also overwhelming. Commuters and drivers can move the length with ease with good visibility.

Governor Rauf Aregbesola is gradually turning the state of Osun into a Mega City.

Lol
Am a very positive person

I have seen a rural water project commissioning where hours after commissioning, the water is gone and that's the end

And if you see the commissioning, a big fan fare
Come to Abuja, the airport road was hastily 'commissioned' last year without completion, it's full of cracks now

Let's stop celebrating mediocrity

I agree, bt we don't hv option on being positive, not just for d govt bt for our daily lives
