Enough sunlight falls on Earth in ten minutes to generate all electricity consumed on Earth for one year. That is remarkable and what it means is that the sun and no other energy source should generate 90 percent of our energy consumption on Earth. If ten minutes of sunlight falling on Earth can produce all electricity consumed on Earth for a year, then 20 minutes will surely power all vehicles, sea going vessels and air planes along with providing electricity. So, twenty minutes of sun light a day will solve all power needs for the Earth without exception, for a year. This means 20 minutes of sunlight on January 1 will power everything on Earth up till December 31 that same year but that is for sunlight falling everywhere on Earth and everything can not be trapped in such a manner all at once but the sunlight falling in twenty minutes can power everywhere.

I have already described how it can be done in earlier articles. We can not trap all sunlight and we do not need to. All we need to do is to have photo voltaic arrays ie solar PV arrays, spread over some portions of Earth, maybe a third of Nigeria in size, I did the calculations but have forgotten the spread size. It has to be all over the world to track the sun not only in some zones. When America is dark, African installations will generate power for that continent and vice versa. There will be arrays on the high seas, no batteries needed, just microwave plants and phased array equipments, transmitters, power broadcasting equipment, low Earth orbit satellites and rectannae stations. Power will be produced with reckless abandon because a large portion will be lost to leakages during transmission and generation. The phased array antannae systems for instance may not, because of leakages be able to have more than a 60 percent output transmitted to the low Earth orbit satellites which will reflect it to anywhere on Earth for use but if you are sitting by the ocean, selling seawater, you will not be concerned about efficiency of output. As the Yoruba say 'Aponmita kii sofo'. 'A water seller can never run at a loss'. The sun or sunlight is the ocean water in this case. That is the issue.

So if what is described above is not Nikola Tesla's free energy, what then is? He talked about tapping energy put there by the sun which is exactly what solar wafers do. If there is bright sunlight, the photons will be more agitated leading to more energy produced by the wafers. So, the above was what Nikola Tesla was trying to articulate. Nothing more, nothing less. The only mistake he made was to describe the phenomenon as free energy when nothing at all can be or ever is free. You have to build equipments even if cheap and those equipments have to be maintained as well as operated, incurring costs. So it can never be free but it can be ridiculously cheap since it can be at mediocre costs. Denmark has already achieved this with wind power as their electricity is at mediocre costs relative to Europe’s average cost while solar generated power by PV arrays will be at mediocre costs relative to windpower . Denmark’s electrical power is at mediocre cost because of the windpower component in it which makes Denmark unique in Europe. Germany too does load shedding during the day since most homes have PV arrays. Europe uses solar more than any other region on a per capita basis. More than 40GW ie 40,000 MW of solar power is installed in Germany presently.

So, no self acting engine or heat pump is needed to power the world at mediocre costs. The nuclear reactor that has been blasting away since the beginning, ie the sun, is more than enough.

The Earth needs to enter that period, it will lead to even greater things. We step up space observatory and exploration and very soon we will have the technology to colonise a recently cooled planet in the habitable zone of its sun, a planet with land for terrestrial life. There will be life there and even human beings even if not advanced. When we land there with a proper civilization, that would be Ile Ife and then the cycle continues. This sun we depend on will burn out in the future and it is our duty to reach out as did the people who gave birth to us.

With the help of God.

Tesla's free energy had nothing to do with solar. Its energy from the ionosphere. Your proposal is laudable but humongous. Imagine the amount of chemical waste from solar panel production for the whole earth.
