A song is set to b a cover when it is sang by another artistes other than d original singer..

Hence, why should such a song which I perceive in my view as 'copying' be charted ?. In some cases, Some even go on to win awards..
My question thus is, should covered songs be on d charts talkless win awards irrespective of how well d 'duplicate'singer may av re-sang d song?
