FINALLY WAEC MAY/JUNE 2009 RESULT IS OUT!

CONFIRMED!

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has released the results of the May/June 2009 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Head, Nigerian National Office of the Council, Dr. Iyi Uwadiae, who announced the results in Lagos yesterday, said a total of 1,373,009 candidates, consisting of 755,955 males and 617,054 females sat for the examination.

However he said, of the total number of candidates that sat for the examination, only 356,981, representing 25.99 percent obtained credits and above in English Language, Mathematics and at least three other subjects.

Waec is a useless organization,they couldn't update the website before they tell people that the result is out, just login to their website now and watch the DRAMA going on,i think its very difficult for them to upload the result, iliterates conducting exams for the youth

They are suspecting if you did any examination malpractices or if that also occurred widely in your school. They will release it later.

As at Saturday 19 Sept the site was not yet opening, I think they are still trying to upload, funny, you know they generated close to 600 Million from the sale of Result Checking Cards alone, What a business and such incompetency in maintaining their website where the money comes from! Funny

The site is now working effectively.

If only 25% of 1.33 million candidates merited credit and above, then about 1 million candidates are likely to rewrite the exam by 2010 and at the same time some new candidates for 2010 could raise the total number of candidates come may/june 2010 to about 2 million just a forecast though. When i sat 4 mine registration was @ d rate of N5500 per candidate per exam.now look at this: for this year total income b4 some miscelenous xpense: 5500 naira * 1373009 candidates = N753549500 (753,549,500) not includin dat of scratch card which is N500*137009 =N685,045,00 for cards all nw lets ad em up N753,549,500+N685,045,00 =N8,220,540,00 this income is just for this yr may/june exam alone, oct/nov 4 dis yr is nt yet calculated bt ll'd be equal to or gr8er than this ,let alone next year may/june in which up to 2million candidates are being expected. And in there mind d buisness would continue 4ever. As u can C This guys are into serious buisness.

just checked my sister's. her result is very fine except the english that is written "outstanding". what does she do now expecially now that she needs english so badly for her university admission.
