The Bill Gates' Notes-the Us Leadership From 1870to 1970and The Future Of The Us by lawani: 12:31pm On Jul 30, 2016
As at 1870, the USA was not very much different from Yoruba land in technological advancement and economic development but things have changed a lot since then. The USA took the baton from Britain and has been leading up till today.

If China were like Japan, China would have around 40,000 USD in GDP per capita and over 3 times the US GDP and possibly three times the budget. Many nobel laureattes would be from Chinese universities, probably at least two times the US number and many of the Fortune 500 companies will be heaquartered there in China. India too could have been like that. The world would have been a very different place today. Possibly, the world may have been forced to enter a new industrial age in the 1960s driven by innovation and urgency from China and India but unfortunately the US government is still the biggest spender on Earth when they should be third. If all debts are cancelled today and everywhere organised to be taking income tax, then China and India will have budgets surpassing the US by next year or 2017, I believe, because everything will even out at once like magic.

With debts cancelled, US, Japanese, German, Danish and etc corporations that have amassed technological knowhow over the decades can move into everywhere including China, India, Pakistan, Brazil, Nigeria with their expertise with a mandate to even out things and engage local people as suppliers with work starting in earnest. The Americans have the technology to power the Earth with solar electricity which can reduce power costs to even 5 percent of present costs, Denmark has the knowhow for windpower which can be used too. Japan and Germany are in automobile. The USA, Japan, South Korea, Norway and etc in microelectronics. If 100 million dollars is invested in any plant, yearly growth may not be more than 5 to 10 million dollars and those companies can be nationalised in all countries with majority of capital investment provided by national governments, meaning even the increase due to growth can hardly escape from the local economy while everybody is taking income tax. So under such an arrangement, China and India will have a bigger budget than the USA in the first year meaning they must have more responsibilities.

The only advantage some corporations, not nations, will have is that they will have stakes in some heavy industries developed by them but at the end, Toyota India will be an Indian company with some Japanese on the board and within a few years, most of the innovation in the company will be Indian in origin.

Development will be the focus rather than arbitrary growth. Growth always happen in a growing population but when you use less resources to achieve much more, that is development. A major economic development will be the closure of all fossil fuel fired power plants worldwide. Imagine paying twenty thousand for power instead of 500 thousand. That is a development which the USA already has patented.

Once all nations are sitting ip with the major leap forward sponsored by the USA, then the USA will drop to number 3 in economic size, research output and etc immediately. If no sovereign debts, China can raise double the US budget if they use same tax regime. GDP per capita or rather wages, will equalise for workers across the globe, whatever you have will be enough for you to live on.

If India is broken up into ethnic nations, then the USA will be number 2 after China which will be fine by the USA. If people are contributing money, let China contribute 400 dollars and the USA 100 dollars. That is the way it should be and it will be that way within a few years after everywhere is restructured. The US has been tasking her citizens in the cooperative venture of nation building while China watches. Time for China to enter the fray, then China will have a budget at least two times the US budget this year.

China, India and other nations can then immediately start innovating at thesame rate as the USA. The result would be Earthshaking.

The Bill Gate note is a must read, showing how far Earthlings have come between 1870 and 1970 led by the USA. The future will even be more dramatic by far.

In a properly constituted UN, the biggest bloc will be China not the USA and the biggest money will come from there as well unless they lose their people to others. We just want it to be a Singapore like China. A free and open country

With a Singapore like China, we are all good and the US can be sure of a rise and rise in growth and development under the new system. If China and India had braced up earlier, the US would have insisted they contribute majority of the money to be spent on global security.

The rise from 1870 to 1970 was steep and what is coming next will be even bigger. I agree with Mr Bill Gates on that. Everybody should read his opinion.
