Hello guys, I have some issues with my Volkswagen Golf IV.
In as clear terms as possible, this is what I experience.

When you rev, engine power drops instead of increase.
Through careful observation, I've noticed that when I get my legs off the accelerator,
the rpm goes up just a split second before it begins to fall.
So I try to rev, release and rev again just in line with my discovery.
Sometimes it picks and at other times it doesn't.

Most times it requires a super slow acceleration for it to pick up.
This super slow acceleration is very dangerous for driving on highways.
At other times, it just goes off.

I'd love to hear from your thoughts on what my issues might be
but best of all, I'd love to get a good VW mechanic who will take a good look and possibly fix it.

Thanks guys.

Sounds to me like a transmission problem. What year is your Golf? Is yours an auto transmission?

Its not a tranny issue. the tranny scan might come up with nothing. He shld scan d power train.
