Yes oooo, my 'co-nairalanders'.
It's another feat, another record.

Let's celebrate our beloved online forum again just as we did here on the 18th April, 2015 at 8:49pm, when we 'hit' 2,000,000 topics.

Today, the 2nd August, 2016; at exactly 1:58pm. Nairaland did it again by 'hitting' the 3,000,000 topic mark.

Research (From the 18th April, 2015 till date)

Do you know that...

1. Most topics were created on Sundays, Saturdays and Mondays respectively?

2. On the average, 1,947 new topics were created on Sundays. (High numbers at the Religion Section, most of which make the Front Page{FP} on the same days i.e sundays)

3. Monday follows with an average of 1,744 new topics at the Politics and Crime Section.

4. The third on the week days is Saturday, with an average of 1,373 new topics.

5. Buhari and Saraki are the names most mentioned on Front Pages within the stated period.

Congratulations once again to all members and guests of this greatest Nigerian Online Forum.

Great news:-
Owner and moderators of Nairaland deserve kudos.
Here are suggestions to make the Online Forum better:-
1. Be more of a supporter of your members in advancing their personal endeavours and businesses. Facebook and Nairaland were founded almost within same periods...fine they have different purpose and different formats. However Facebook is far liberal platform whereby you showcase yourself and whatever you have to offer to the world. Nairaland should not restrict people from showcasing their upcoming events, business, products and projects so long that is done in the right section. It is not everything that is paid advertisement. Also you don't expect a thread to be started for that mini advert. You could just allow the member to post in a similar thread without deleting or hiding the comments or banning him or her.

2. Nairaland should open an opportunity for donations from members. People always have a craving to support whatever supports humanity. Wikipedia doesn't accept paid adverts but they raised millions of dollars in freewilll donation. But before people can support Nairaland there must be frantic efforts made to support the advancement of Nigeria and the economic progress of Nairalanders. If for instance a Nairalander is launching a project and he starts a thread for it, the Supermod will take the news of a massive cleavage to the Frontpage and possibly ban the one who announced his project for not placing an advert for it. Such things cannot develop the economy or your members.

3. Regulate what makes Frontpage. For God's sake useless topics regarding threats between Remi and Dino, or how Fayose performed a healing or cuts meat on the road does not benefit any human whether living or dead. When you have auto-edit for words but no auto-edit for pictures esp relating to breasts and cleavages is playing to the gallery. We must take a stand and present only this that develop humans. Raise the standard for topics that make Frontpage. Whatever gets rewarded gets repeated according to LeBouf Management Law. When you promote below standard topics to FP you get millions of below standard topics here and there.

4. Finally this one is to we the members. Let us stop all these online wars and battles on religion and ethnicity. We are embarrassing ourselves before the world. Other online forum domiciled in other countries, members don't fight as we do. Do a little online research about that. They discuss intelligently. The talk productively. But here, even Nigerians in abroad make divisive statements how your country on whose passport you travelled there is this and that. It is a pity that some persons are hell bent to corrupt the minds of innocent and peace loving fellows on Nairaland. May such people always fail in their evil imaginations.
This is a Great Nation of Good People
