According to the family of Mbeki, the former president complained about his heart at dawn which he was being rushed to the hospital but failed to survive.

‘’we are in shock. He was full of life last night but this dawn all that he could say was his heart which we rushed him to the hospital but couldn’t make it’’ the close family source revealed.

Speaking to ANC’s Khusela Sangoni, revealed how shocking the party received the news this morning.

‘’the whole ANC are mourning. He was full of life days ago. He even talked to us about the LGE before we went to the polls. We are in total shock’’ Sangoni said
