Cars are like fashion that comes with quite a relative short lifespan , that is to say they come and go that easily , no thanks to the consistent level of inovation that has taken over our world with state of the art gadgets and equipments being produces every now and
then which makes it quite easy to quickly retire existing once..

Cars have a four to five year window period for a particular model to linger around, this was the case a few years back though as newer models are now produced virtually on yearly basis nowadays as car manufactureres preconceptualise car models years before they are even produced .

Lets take a look at these few cars that have been around on Nigerin roads long after they have been faced out in more established climes.

TOYOTA CAMRY 1997-2000 (Tiny/Fat Light)

Found in virtuallly every nooks and cranies of the Nigerian roads the relatively cheap cost of maintenance for the 97/2000 Camry makes it a popular choice for an average Nigerian for a few more years to come.

The Honda Accord brand is one one that has ligered in the Nigerian auto space for quite a long time , but none beats the 2003 Accord in terms of longevity and staying power despite its seeminly mechnical issues.

Popularly called the End of Discussion , the 03 Accord is one car synonymous amongst the younger class of Nigerian motorists apparently because of its fushion of some bit of elegance, luxury and durabilty. plus or minus the Honda End of Discussuon is one car thats has been around for sometime and doesnt seem to be heading out anytime soon.

I think this car stil hovers around mainly brcause of its commercial value , and maybe its ability to withstand tough terrains, the 98 Sienna is one car that is seen virtually everywhere on Nigerian roads, this very durable mini bus remains a favourite amongst the business class,( particularly the women) traders and enterpreneuers due to its size and commercial value, its also been recently deployed to convey passengers along interstate routes.

One thing is certain the 98 Sienna is durable and is begining to make a bold ststement as a very commercially viable vehicle.

The Toyota Hilux is one pickup truck know for its absoulute ruggedity and ability to navigate through uncanny and terrible road conditions. the Toyota hilux dares where other pickup trucks fail, thats just its level of depndabilty.

Ther Hilux has carved a niche for its self as the number one choice weni it comes to choosing an official or commercial vehicle for governmemt and private parastatal in Nigeria, little wonder it is found almost at every corner on Nigerian roads.

Several other cars have also been very present on the nigerian terrain for quite a good number of years but these were chosen on the backdrop of consisitensey and performance. see more of this on
