You can get driver's license as a fresher by first applying into one of the accredited driving schools first and get your e-certificate.
Then proceed to the nearest licensing office for processing and this includes downloading of your form by frsc, testing by vio, and you bio metric capturing then at this point, you are given the temporary license which serves you for 2 months. @ the point of expiration, it is expected that your permanent license should be out but in a situation whereby it's not out, the temporary license will be re validated pending when the permanent license is out.

But if you need assistance on this, as a fresher, it will cost you 25k. This is due to the driving school fee. And this will take 26days before your biometric capturing.
But for renewal, can be done in just a day provided the expired one is original.

When you lose yoir licence, your bio-data still remains in the database. Your licence has expiry date on it and can only be renewed upon expiration. Any activity prior to that is replacement. And yes, you have to pay for it. It will cost no less in production and no! Affidavit will not do. Any tom, d.ick and harry can produce affidavit. My sister, try and lose your passport with an American visa on it and try to travel with an affidavit, you hear! You'll know what time it is.

Besides I Hv been using affidavit, also I hardly get check reason...road safety are after commercial vehicle Atleast to collect tips, knwing fully well Dat most private vehicle can afford dis tins and they will end up not getting their tips by stopping private cars and allowing commercial to pass....

What ever license you are getting right now ensure you get your boo metric capturing done especially if you are processing as a fresher.

I say so because it's now optional for biometric capturing when renewing your expired license this is because you have done biometric capturing before but still I advise that at the point of downloadingof your form even as a renewal, you should still choose the option of re capturing so you have the temporary license to drive with pending when the permanent card comes out else you will be left to be driving with your papers pending when the permanent card comes out.
