If you are not gay - why are you so concerned. I think you are a closet gay and trying the waters to see if you can come out in the open grin

Democracy is a political system.
Homosexuality is not political. It is an immoral sexual behaviour

It is moral and morality is inculcated in culture to limit perverse behaviours of few individual. Anything that violate the laws of nature and common sense is immoral.

Well said. Society is more important than the individual, it must be preserved.

Why does it offend you for two consenting adults to be together, this in a country that sanctions marriages between prepubescent girls and middle aged men,

^It doesn't offend me Missy poo. Nobody stops anyone from being together. You are talking about legalizing the practice.

Prostitution is not legal in most countries. It don't stop people from doing it. Does it.

You cannot equate prostitution and homosexuality. So, what if it legalised, would you please explain to me how that would affect you?

One is a social ill, the other is not. Does that answer your question?

We shouldn't bastardise natural design.

Homo is illegal in Nigeria anyway. Rubbing plantain against plantain will rightly get you in jail.

I can already see that engaging you further on this matter would prove to be rather futile. Get the clarification from someone who enjoys handing it out. Peace!

I really think you should tell us which is a social ill between homa and prostitution.
Please, if you could spare a minute, we would like to know.

Homosexuality will never be legalized in Nigeria. Its not even legalized in America.
Re: Homosexaulity Should It Be Lagalize In Nigeria? by ChinenyeN(m): 11:47pm On Sep 28, 2009
When I was asking why, I was intending on directing that to the original poster and asking "why should it be?" or "why should we even consider it?". Me personally, I'm against the legalization of homosexual relationships. I don't recognize homosexuality as a legitimate social institution in the first place, let alone as a legal institution.

posakosa:

Homosexuality will never be legalized in Nigeria.   Its not even legalized in America.
Took the words out of my mouth. I don't see any reason to legalize homosexuality. In fact, let them first legalize heterosexuality. When they do that, then we can discuss legalizing homosexuality.
