I do not doubt the complexity of securing the border but it is the government's job to secure it as much as possible or, at the very least, make it very hard for smugglers.

If you decide to create a law that turns most of the people in a line a business in to criminals then you are not in tune to the reality of that industry.
N400:$1 is a good way to start.
You cannot have a system where your agents are tasked to stop trade rather you should be making sure you encourage traders to pay revenue and give a leveled playing field.

The government does not belong to Dangote, Innoson. Or Stallion but they work for every Nigerian.
Some things are necessities and Government should not be denying the people those things to th e benefit if certain individuals.
