The narrative 'White minorities must give up their ill gotten wealth for lazy Africans' has to be up there among the most ridiculous thing i've ever had the unfortunate chance of reading on this forum, and that's saying something.... How do we determine the people with unethical wealth? Where does this definition stops, especially with 3rd gen whitea minorities?
This, in addition to the narratives about socialism screams of laziness to me. Most African countries would bankrupt and self implode before it starts. Venezuela is a perfect example of what Africa will be like if they dare adopt any form of socialism.

i believe you are talking about communism and not socialism. China is even more capitalist than you think. Nigeria was actually more of a socialist country some years back but that didnt work either as all major industries were govt owned.

Story story. How are African countries going to embrace socialism or communism or any -ism or -cracy when most of them are still colonies held together forcibly to protect western companies and banks?

You guys always receive the ball in an offside position and hope the referee will allow.

From East to West, from North to South, the peoples of this great Continent are arising to claim their birthright that has been stolen. claim fire

They send soldiers to shoot down the people.
They try to bribe the people's leaders. When that does not work they arrest and deport them on framed-up charges. They invent faked 'treason' charges and 'massacre' plots. They promise half independence, or self-government on the instalment plan.

They're fighting for theirs
Fight for yours you say Sam

....

These methods cannot succeed.
Hahaha
Very funny you

Africa is on the march for freedom, her people are awake, and nothing can stop them from reaching their goal: government of Africa by Africans for Africans. The imperialist powers must quit Africa. The White minorities must accept the condition of equality and give up their ill-gotten privileges. I won't even bother to answer these mumu talk
....
What shape will the new Africa take? Will it be capitalist, like Western Europe and America? Or socialist, like Eastern Europe, the Soviet Union and China ? That is something the peoples of this Continent will have to answer for themselves.
It is a big question.
....
Let us look at the two systems.
TWO SYSTEMS
We know capitalism in Africa. We have seen it and suffered under it. no you don'
All we have is socialism in Africa and I'm sure you've seen the result

Under capitalism, the land, the natural resources and the industries, built up by the hands of the workers, yeah right
The capital provided by the capitalists fell from heaven ba

belong to private owners or companies. high risk, high reward Each owner is producing not for the public good but for his private profit. have you ever been forced to buy anything in capitalist system
He pays as little wages as he can and wants to take as much as possible for himself. is it his fault that majority are mentally lazy cowards who enjoy back breaking work for slave pay
Take a capitalist who is making shoes in a factory. He is not worried about the people who are barefoot. so who buys the shoes and why can't the barefoot make shoes if they are so smart
He wants to make a lot of money and get rich.
ehn ehn him go live like pauper like una lazy cowards
All the profit he makes comes out of the exploitation of the workers, they can leave if they have better work but laziness will not allow them
All they want to do is sleep without thinking of venturing
for all value comes from labour. land, capital and entrepreneurship nko
You go school so?
Capitalism means the exploitation of man by man. no it means separating fools from their money
taking talents from those that don't need it

.....
Socialism is different. All the means of production - the land, the mines, factories and so on - belong to the Government
as a whole. who is govt

Production is planned. on paper
The aim is to see that everyone gets good food to eat, clothes to wear, houses to live in. agreed
The aim of production and of society, is to see that people are happy and comfortable, that they are highly educated and cultured. no it is to meet demand
The worker knows that no capitalist profits from his labour. why the world's never has capital to work in this system
Government Own All Industries, Companies and Services in the country. disaster waiting to happen
Example, All phones that will be used in Nigeria will be produced by a govt. Phone industry in Abuja.. Nothing like a foreign phone companies like Tecno or Samsung etc. you fit use nitel phone
The country goes ahead quickly because development is properly planned. Socialism means the abolition of exploitation.
.... this has never happened
Experience has proved that socialism is the most suitable method of quickly developing countries which are economically backward.
..... name 1 country that has achieved rapid development with socialism
In ten short years, socialism and Communist leadership have transformed China from a land of terrible backwardness, illiteracy and poverty, to a land of flourishing industry and agriculture, of advanced education and progress.
name the years
Communism failed for 30 years
Get your facts right and stop misleading ppl the way you were misled
China only moved forward with capitalism

India and China won freedom from imperialist rule at about the same time. But India chose the capitalist road; China the socialist road. Today China has far outstripped India in economic progress. China is a capitalist country o
....
WHY THE WESTERN IMPERIALISTS HATE SOCIALISM IN AFRICA.
If Africa kicks out Capitalism Ann's embrace socialism.
1. There will be a fast rise in Local made products by Govt. Industries. nobody will buy substandard goods and services
2. Multinationals who are with imperalist mission will be kicked out. only superior capitalist tactics cbn kick them out
Ask Venezuela or North Korea socialism doesn't work o
3. Diversification of Economy is a Sure Certainty in Socialism. socialism cbn never diversify the economy as efficiently as capitalism

4. The gap between the Rich and the Poor will be Drawn close. do you know the gap between Kim Jong Un and his ppl or any Chinese party member and citizens
I don't think you read or watch ordinary news

5. Importation of many foreign products will stop.
like you've stopped importation of fuel and frozen chicken and Ankara and..... Abeg you too funny
6. Value of Currency will be strong. name 1 socialist country with ''strong '' currency value
7. Employment opportunities will skyrocket.
I can go on and on. pseudo employment abi disguised unemployment 10 ppl doing job that 1 person can do in capitalist society
Africa countries like Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana etc 6th should give Socialism a chance.
- Adaure4ever.
I pray this never happens. How e wan even take happen sef

What Adaure4ever is saying here is not too different from the views being expressed in America through Trump and Sanders and in London through Jeremy Corbyn and Brexit. The youngsters that are instigating it have seen that between 1948 and 1972, every section of the American population experienced very similar and sizable increases in their standard of living. But between 1972 and 2013, the bottom 10% experienced falling real income while the top 10% did far better than everyone else. So the type of capitalism that neo-liberalism imposes on us is not fit for purpose. It was Keynesian policy and welfare capitalism that delivered the best result for the world up until the early 70s not trickle-down nonsense or globalization in goods, services and capital that was unleashed so as to devalue labour and the Unionised job market completely
Banks, bankers and business leaders collude with the political elites around the world to enact the most draconian laws against mankind.
Then 2007-8 crisis came but changed virtually nothing. If Robert Mugabe had turned the act of printing money into a policy, it would have been called voodoo economics, so what is quantitative easing? Well, it`s ok if it`s the West that is doing it. So the question is about how to tackle global inequality. The answer is well known by now: capitalism causes inequality, so it can`t be relied upon to solve it. The people that are beginning to think outside the neo-liberal box should be praised for doing so. Russia is respected around the world today not until she dumped blind and crass capitalism

Of course, the way forward might be the mixture of the two ideologies. Somebody in Nigeria called it a little bit to the right and a little bit to the left. But the first thing is for all of us to accept that the status quo is not an option. Dr Martin Luther King said: " Communism forgets that life is individual, Capitalism forgets that life is social, and the kingdom of brotherhood is found neither in the thesis of communism nor the anti-thesis of capitalism, but in a higher synthesis. It is found in a higher synthesis that combines the truth of both "
If this was relevant in the 60s, we need to take it more seriously today. The casualised economy that encourages global race to the bottom is unacceptable and that is what Anglo-American capitalism is all about.

op u need to go n do more research on socialism. socialism breeds laziness n mediocrity due to lack of reward n insentives. It discourages production of goods n services, thereby worsening d poverty rate n unemployment. compare n contrast eastern europe with western europe. wat u will notice is dat western europe is far technologically advanced dan eastern europe. unlike eastern europe western europe practiced free economy or capitalism were private citizens control economic aactivities. d more private pipul set up business, d more jobs ar created. more jobs means money in d pocket. more money in d pocket means more consumption. more consumption means more production of goods like agricultural n manufactured procducts. more production means more taxes for d govt. more tax for d govt means better infrastructure like roads, bridges etc. dat was how western europe outshine eastern europe economically even though they were on d same continent. in term of economic developement n technological advancement, eastern europe is a village. dat was why rate at which pipul from eastern europe struggled to enta western europe in d last 60 years almost trippled d migration periods to d new world wen columbus discovered america. u know why becos of too much hardship n poverty. d fastest way to poverty is socialism. wen eastern europe was under socialist russia, there was no incentive for pipul to venture into businesses n production. every means of economic activity belongs to govt. with govt at d center stage of production, poverty n scarcity of goods n services became d oda of d day. big govt will never translate to economic developement. america's current economic problems is fueled partly because of barack obama's big govt socialist policies.
d fastest way to kill an economy especially a developing con3 like nigeria is socialism. case in point buari's govt.
socialism is d worsest economic system on earth. even china with socialist political structure does not practice socialism economically talkless of mother russia, d birth place of communism (extreme socialsim).

You're out of your goddamned mind. I love how ideologues like yourself dress up these reprehensible social theories as something better than they are. You left out how implementing free market principles improved the standard of living in mainland China.
http://www.businessinsider.com/how-china-went-from-communist-to-capitalist-2015-10
We've seen the result of Socialism from the Soviet Union to Venezuela. SOCIALISM DOES NOT WORK. It further increases the wage disparity between the elites and the serfs. Nigeria is already corrupt. Why give the corrupt government more power?! Capitalism is positively correlated with Economical growth and globalization. That alone makes it superior to socialism.

Africa should do a thorough analysis of both capitalism and socialism before jumping at any. This will provide an opportunity for her to see the loopholes in each system and develop what best suit her people and environment.
