Two entry level Laboratory based graduate scientist are required to assist with developing/manufacturing lateral flow tests

We seek highly motivated individuals with ability to design and conduct robust and efficient experiments and to solve difficult technical problems.
Must be able to work under supervision of a senior scientist or project manager, and be clearly able to document and communicate results.
Ideally, the applicant should be familiar with optimizing lateral flow assays and bioconjugation in general. However this is not necessary criteria.
We will consider applicants with strong chemistry and biochemistry backgrounds that do not have previous experience with lateral flow. Or Biology/microbiology applicants with previous laboratory experience with Monoclonal or Poly-clonal Antibodies.

Responsibilities will include the functionalization of nano-particles with antibodies and other targeting agents, assembling and running of lateral flow strips, and optimizing these devices to increase sensitivity and minimize non-specific background.

Requirements

HND/Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or Bio-engineering
Practical Experience with analytical, physical, inorganic, and organic chemistry laboratory procedures, techniques and equipment.
Ability to learn new techniques and approaches.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must work well in a fast paced, start-up environment.
Nigerian Citizens Only (Or candidates possessing the unfettered rights to live/work in Nigeria)

Desired Skills

Lateral flow development
Experience with bioconjugation to surfaces or particles
Bioassays, antibody conjugation, fluorescent labelling
Experience fabricating, functionalizing, and processing nanomaterials
Strong instrumentation background including optical microscopy, UV-Vis, DLS, Zeta-Potential, DLS, TEM, or SEM
Experience with analytical, physical, inorganic, and organic chemistry laboratory procedures, techniques and equipment.
Familiar with cGMP or ISO 13485 compliant quality systems
