A Facebook user has narrated a story alleging that a teacher in Adamawa State has been beaten to a bloody pulp for stealing food from his neighbour.

Aminu Iyawa claims that the teacher identified simply as Julius from Gireil LGA of Adamawa State is a primary school teacher and has not been paid his salary for five months.

The post insinuates that the situation of things led Mr Julius to steal, lamenting the poor payments of salaries as well as the governments attitude to these things

Unfortunately stealing is still a crime, and nothing can justify it.

In Ekiti, a female teacher stole amala and proceeded to eat it with her children. The owner of the amala found her out and was benevolent.

In Adamawa, the situation is quite similar but the outcome shows the great chasm in orientation between both sides.

One knows when to tamper justice with mercy and the other doesn't.

My colleague just told me this morning of similar case she witnessed over the weekend.
She met a group of people around their area screaming that a pot of Amala someone was cooking just vanished from the fire
The owner just stepped out to get some water to pour into the food only to start looking for the pot of food on getting back....
