The Commissioner of Police, Imo State, Taiwo Lakanu, said the command was working with the military to end the crisis in the community.

Lakanu, who spoke with our correspondent on the telephone, said the police were faced with the challenge of a difficult terrain and the reluctance of residents to give information.

He said, “We heard that some people were killed, but the situation is not as terrible as that. Two cults are involved in the crisis in that community and the problem has been on for about three years. After killing each other, they would retreat into the creeks. The terrain is difficult and because the families of the victims don’t also cooperate with the police in the area of information, it becomes difficult to make arrests.

The above was copied from the thread that shed light on the killings going on in Imo State by two rival cult groups over oil found in the community. Policemen cannot access the creeks because the terrain is difficult? I guess I'm not in this country or this is an apparition?

Why are people not seeing that the reason Kwankwaso is being targeted is because of his so called movement? Day by day, the presidency keeps giving Nigerians the assurance that they indeed made a horrible choice. This is similar to the one that happened recently.

There are kidnappers, rapists, hoodlums and touts disturbing the peace of residents of Lagos, Abia, Anambra, Ogun et al. Cultists on the increase. The present Governor of Kano doesn't want the Mass wedding program to take place in Kano Because of the growing popularity of of hi predecessor. He is thinking that Kwankwaso is becoming a threat to his government. This is the reason why he I using the police in whatever wa possible to stop it. Initially the wedding ceremony suppose take place last week saturday with many governors, senators and politicians expected to be in attendance but a day to the event this same Governor said he will hold a programme that same Saturday because of that Senator kwankwaso shifted his own event to Sunday but the police cancelled it indefinitely. The wedding took place yesterday night secretly and peacefully today both bride and groom were asked to go to this same house , kwankwaso to pick furnitures, food items e.t.c as soon as they start distributing the items police arrived and seal the place. So if the police felt a mass wedding by arch enemy of the government of the day can easily spark violence they should keep mute right? A mass wedding is only contracted by the state government not a politician that seriously want at all cost to tarnish or ridicule the image of the incumbent governor. I hail the police 100%

APC will remain on grateful to those that help dem gain power that is why they will remain divided till they break up.
