A self-acclaimed prophet, David Babalola, who
gave false data to the police about his
landowner, was on Friday docked before an
Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates' Court.
The blamed, 43, who guaranteed to be a priest
with the Presence Redemption Ministry, is
confronting trial on a charge of false declaration. He,

when it was perused to him.
The prosecutor, Insp. Cousin Adams, said that
the charged submitted the offense on Nov. 4,
at No. 13, Folorunsho St., Off Ajayi Road,
Aguda-Ogba. He asserted that the charged
gave false data against his landowner,
Joseph Agaga, which prompted his capture and
confinement at the police headquarters.
``The charged had erroneously given data
that his landowner needed to strongly involve
the area where his congregation was found. ``Upon
examination by the police, it was found
that the area really had a place with Agaga," he
said.
Adams said the offense contradicted Section
95(C) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State,
2011. Segment 95 (C) recommends seven years
detainment if discovered blameworthy.
Advice to the charged, Mr O. Quadri, asked
the court to give safeguard to his customer, saying
that, as a godly man, he would not avoid
trial nor alter proof.
Quadri likewise educated the court that he would
stand as surety for his customer for the situation. The
Boss Magistrate, Mrs Helen Omisore, conceded
the denounced N200,000 safeguard with one surety in
like entirety.
She said that the surety must give
confirmation of assessment installment to the state
government and suspended the case till Sept.
14 for notice.
