The rate at which container trucks now fall in Lagos State has become alarming as a 40ft container loaded with stationaries fell at Ijora Olopa, Lagos yesterday. According to Lagos State Emergency Agency, investigation at the scene revealed that the cause of the accident was due to reckless driving by the container truck driver as he was trying to make a fast U turn.

LASEMA’s Emergency response team and LASTMA officials have been able to evacuate the container off the road and no one was injured.

Most of them are always in a haste. And are always high.

A law should be passed that any trailer with container that falls should be confiscated.
Many of these trailers have containers placed precariously.

I think they do that. But those drivers are always high. That's the thing. Their over-taking is always mad. Even at night.
