Junk journalism is on the rise in Nigeria with the press churning out whatever nonsense it wants and selling same to the unsuspecting public.

PDP cleared 20 out of 29 presidential aspirants while 1 withdrew after being cleared yet we have the media smiling to the bank after selling outright lies to the public all in the name of news.

Even, women were already demonstrating at the PDP headquarters that no single woman was cleared out of the 6 when a female presidential aspirant came out with her clearance certificate and showed it to the women and stated that she will never believe the papers anymore.

Just like our bankers, the journalists are ever ready to practice arm chair journalism.

Nigerian press while they are adept at fighting off dictators unfortunately are incompetent at quality journalism. They don't just write rumors as news, these rumors are often incoherent with rumors they have written previously as news! Just imagine!
